MEET MOLLY
I was born in Colorado, shaped by its wild rivers, alpine air, and the kind of beauty that seeps into your bones. For years, I worked in the wedding world as a planner, then in corporate events—until 2020 brought it all to a halt. The stillness revealed a truth I could no longer ignore: I missed creating, connecting, making something that felt real.
One evening, after a long, exhausting day, I turned to my 45-year-old coworker and asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Without hesitation, he said, “A drag queen.” I loved the honesty in his answer—playful, true, and free of judgment. Then he asked me the same question. I paused, then said, “A florist.” The words just came out of me, but they felt right.
That same week, I couldn’t stop thinking about that conversation and I quit my corporate job and applied to work in a flower shop, with no experience—just a deep craving to create something real. They took a chance on me, and the first time I stepped into the studio, I knew I was exactly where I was meant to be.
I spent three years designing before opening my own studio in 2023: Double Dutch Floral, a name that honors my Dutch grandmother and the heritage of an entire industry born in Holland.
Double Dutch isn’t just a studio—it’s a love story, rooted in art, intention, and the power of flowers to speak where words fall short. I stay small by design, working closely with each couple to create sculptural, soulful florals that reflect who they are. I believe in connection, in slowing down, in making space for beauty that feels alive.
When I’m not designing, you’ll find me deep in the woods with my dogs, chasing sunshine and coffee, collecting tattoos and memories. This is my art. My joy. My way of celebrating love—in all its wild, wonderful forms.

After years in the wedding industry, I’ve seen how vendor relationships can become transactional—and that’s exactly what I’m here to change. I believe your wedding flowers should feel like an extension of your love story, not just a checked box. I want to know you, celebrate your quirks, and create something beautiful with you, not just for you. My process is collaborative, intentional, and rooted in connection—because you deserve to feel seen, supported, and celebrated every step of the way.

When I’m not designing flowers, I’m usually somewhere in the mountains with my two four-legged sidekicks. I have a soft spot for spotted mutts. My goofy guy Lou keeps me laughing while Remmy—my senior Australian shepherd brings all the emotions and big feels. They’re the heart of my world. If you hire me for an elopement, there’s a good chance they’ll be my assistants for the day, happily tagging along on the adventure.
The name Double Dutch comes from my heritage, my grandmother was Dutch and I lost her and my grandfather within a few years. At the time I was thinking of a name for my new business and nothing felt right until this idea hit. Double Dutch. Honoring both my grandparents who had passed but also honoring my heritage AND the heritage of the floral industry. The floral industry as a whole started in Holland and would not be where it is today without the Dutch. Sometimes it feels like my destiny to be a florist! Here's another family secret, my delivery van is named Betsy after my Oma, Elizabeth hehe!
Zack is the face behind the numbers, he helps me run the daily bookkeeping, manages our business taxes and double checks my math quite literally everyday because let's be honest, I'm a creative, not a numbers gal. But he is more than that. He is my reason for being here. He's my own personal love story that makes me want to be a part of yours. I'm so lucky to have found the kind of story that makes me believe in yours and want to be a part of this special industry where we get to help tell your love story!
